Right now I’m teaching a young dog which is a giant breed,greater Swiss Mountain dog, on how to get along with my young kitten who is eight months old. Do you have any information on this? Right now, when the kitten and the young Swissy are indoors together and the cat runs off, of course the dog wants to run after it ,which I will not allow. Are there any steps can I take to help with this problem?

Hi Carol! This does sound like a challenging situation. You may have to reintroduce your kitten and dog entirely to moderate the dog’s behavior, making sure that you cement commands and redirect the behavior from the very beginning. You might also appreciate this article from Comfort Zone.
