About Forza10
Forza10 was founded in Italy in 1995 by veterinarian Sergio Canello and holistic expert Gianandrea Guidetti. It is an independent company. The company is based on the idea that clean nutrition keeps pets healthier. It believes that poor quality pet food is the main reason why dogs and cats face many health problems.
Forza10’s Research & Development department has published more than 30 scientific and clinical studies in support of the company’s recipes.
The company makes nutraceutical dietary and super premium products for cats and dogs. They use raw materials from Iceland, New Zealand, along with plant extracts.
Forza10’s foods are GMO-free, grain-fee, antibiotic-free, and cruelty-free.
The company provides an extensive FAQ section that answers many customer questions about their foods and manufacturing.
Forza10 makes several different product lines for dogs. By comparison, their products for cats are limited to just over a dozen foods. Most of those foods are therapeutic though they do not require a veterinary prescription.
Extra credit to Forza10 for having a web site that is so informative and easy to navigate.
Sourcing and Manufacturing
Forza10 has 100 percent in-house production for their foods. They make dry food, wet food, and snacks for cats and dogs.
Forza10 dry foods are manufactured in their Bagnoli di Sopra plant, in the province of Padua, Italy. Their wet foods and treats are made in Iceland. According to Forza10, Iceland is a place where nature is still untouched and respected. Forza10 notes that, per the Environmental Performance Index (2016), Iceland ranked second in the world for respect of nature and sustainable use of its own resources. The country also has a national ban on the use of hormones, food additives, and antibiotics. The production chains are traceable and controlled.
The company notes that its plants have certification for the production of dietetic and maintenance food, as well as for the production of organic food (under the control of the C.C.C.B. body). It also has the complete DNV (ISO 9001:2008) certification for all the production chain, which means quality control and management.
Forza10 also notes that the company has their USDA permit. According to the company, it was the first European pet food company allowed to export its products to the United States.
According to the company, they carry out more than 5000 tests on raw materials per year. They perform an analytical control of the batches of raw materials they receive each day. These evaluations help guarantee a constant control on suppliers and a high quality standard.
Most ingredients appear to come from Iceland with the exception of pasture-raised lamb which is imported from New Zealand. The wild-caught anchovies in their foods come from Iceland and the Pacific Ocean.

Positive Reviews
My 16-year old cats was recently diagnosed with lowered renal function and after reading the fabulous customer reviews, I switched to this. She loves it and it has made such a difference! She has more energy and has gained some weight as well (she had started losing too much weight). It’s kind of pricey, but it is well worth it to me after seeing what it did for my cat!
At first I bought the 12-pack because I wanted to make sure she liked it, but the 36-pack is way more cost effective so I buy that now. Some customers thought it smelled really bad, but maybe they weren’t feeding them wet food before? The smell doesn’t offend me at all and it doesn’t seem any worse than any other wet food. Just my opinion. This is a great product which I highly recommend. – SusanD reviewing Forza10 Nutraceutic Actiwet Renal Support Wet Cat Food
My cat is on a prescription diet after he became sick with urinary stones. The prescription cat food was not appealing to him- or me. The ingredients of the prescribed food were awful. My cat turned his nose up. I switched to an OTC food that catered to restricted diets specifically for urinary/kidney issues in cats.
After a couple of weeks my cat refused to eat. I found Forza10. We both love it! Quality is top notch. Customer service/ communication top notch. Availability , shipping, and shipping options are top notch. Highly recommend ! – Lori P. reviewing Forza10 Nutraceutic Actiwet Urinary Support Icelandic Fish Recipe Wet Cat Food
Negative Reviews
My usual go-to food was out of stock, so I tried this one. It’s a hard NO for my cat. He sniffs it and walks away. And what’s with the square containers? Can’t use the usual round lid to preserve freshness like with other foods.
I sure wish there was an option to order a trial size before spending $60. I’ll be donating the entire case to the cat shelter in my neighborhood. Hopefully they’ll eat it. – BeachgalVal reviewing Forza10 Nutraceutic Actiwet Renal Support Wet Cat Food on 05/18/2022
My cats gobble this food up readily and it appears to help maintain their shiny coats. The packaging is convenient. Really my only complaint is that it’s a bit stinky and makes their poop stinky as well. Still I figure it is a good part of a healthy, varied diet. Would buy again. – Giancarlo reviewing Forza10 Nutraceutic Actiwet Renal Support Wet Cat Food on 05/04/2022

Are you concerned with the high carb content? The wet food has as many carbs as many dry foods on a dry matter basis. I’m not a nutritionist. I do know my vet wants our two cats on low carb food because their parents were overweight & one had diabetes. I’m a bit paranoid. lol Feline nutrition is becoming overwhelming & I should try to not worry & enjoy these special cats in the moment. Both are young & healthy with no problems at the moment. Thank you for your hard work. I ❤️ this website & refer everyone here. 🙂
Thank you for reviewing Forza10 cat foods. My Mom’s 11 yr old kitty, Gracie, was recently diagnosed with early stage renal disease. She was rejecting the prescription diets and loosing weight. Her favorite wet foods (mostly Weruva and BFF) were already below 1.0 phosphorus. But, her favorite dry (Origen’s Six Fish) was higher. Forza10’s renal dry seems to have had the magic mix of fish flavor and lower phosphorus. Her blood work numbers have since improved. Kitty seems more energetic too. So grateful!
