If I may suggest the name Pipit. It is a cute little brown bird andthat’s what I’m naming my kitten. Sparrow is cute to, I was also thinking of kiwi, the bird, not fruit. You know? Being a cat and all. My kitten is very small that’s why I’m naming her after a small bird.

We had a grey cat and his name was Wolfy(nickname Wolf) for the same reason too. He was the color of a grey wolf. He passed away 3 years ago and he was just 3 yrs and some months. We have no idea why he died. He just stopped eating and would barely drink and his back legs were not working properly then he went and hid somewhere outside and died and we had to find him. We buried him in a specialty made box(we made him with his name and year he was born and died) wrapped in an American flag. He was my son’s cat and would sleep with him even when my son was sick, he would be right there at the end of his bed. He was an awesome cat, me, my mom and step dad teared up when we had to bury him, my son didn’t understand then. Now he knows Wolfy in heaven with my grandma(his great grandma). RIP Wolfy

I named my gray male cat Greebo. If you’re a fan of the Diskworld series by Terry Pratchett you’ll recognize the name. Find out more about him here https://wiki.lspace.org/mediawiki/Greebo. If your kitty is on the ornery side, it’s a great name.
But I liked that the pronunciation is the same as “Gris beau” which one French translation would be “Gray boyfriend” or maybe “Gray handsome boy”.

Loved the help with gray kitten names. I found a very sweet, little long haired gray girl. She’s awaiting surgery to amputate one of her rear legs due to an unknown injury. She was also loaded with fleas and ear mites. She’s doing better now and I wanted a very special name for her. I narrowed it down to Pearl, Opal or Nickel. I need ur help. What do you like for her?

I have had two gray male cats and one gray and one female gray and white striped cat in my lifetime. The gray and white striped female was named smokey. The fuzzy gray male was named Furrball (after one of the tiny-toons characters). The short hair gray male is named Eros (after the God of love). When I was reading some of the names of cats and the replies, I saw that someone had an orange and white striped cat. I also had one that was male, I named him Zephyrus. Right now I still have Eros, but I also have an all-black female cat and her name is Peekaboo. I also had a gray and white striped tabby named Buddy and another gray/black and white striped male named Boreas. With Boreas (his similar-looking brother or bookend) was Mr. Purr (I don’t think any explanation needs to be made here). Boreas, Buddy, Furrball, and Mr.Purr were all brothers and live a long life. However, all of these cats had different personalities and were very good kitties. The two I have now are wonderful as well. I hope that these names will also help in your decision-making.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this.
    Cheers,
    Chris

Naming our lovely grey tabby girl Koda, it means family. She is helping our family heal after losing our beautiful Tuxedo – Skar to cancer. Have had several our lives: Kat and her kit, Boo, Bummer, Pierre, Indy, Frankie, Shoe and Mika. They bring so much joy and love to our lives!

I just got a kitten and we were trying to figure out a name for her. She is a beautiful grey kitten with a white spot under her belly and chin and she has blue eyes so we went with Stormy
