Hello! I've recently been on the search for a budget friendly cat food that doesn't include poultry. I have 2 cats with sensitive stomachs and stomatitis and my vet recommended that I try poultry free food as poultry is a common allergy that could be aggravating my cat's gums. Recently I came across a brand of food called OrgaNOMics. The ingredients seem good, and they have a couple recipes without poultry. The only downside is that I can't find much information on the brand despite the fact that it's been around since 1935. I was hoping for some insight from some others and whether or not y'all recommend this food! If not, I would love to hear other recommendations!
Hi Tori, good question! I couldn't find a lot of info about the brand either, but it looks like it was founded in 2019. Search results for "organomics" also include results for Evanger's which was founded in 1935, but I don't think the two are affiliated. Anyway, looking at the ingredients and guaranteed analysis for OrgaNOMics products, they look pretty good. They appear to be primarily meat-based with limited carbohydrate content. We generally don't like peas as a main ingredient but the dry matter carb content (at least for the Beef & Pork Dinner recipe) appears to be under 10%, so they may not contribute to the recipe too significantly. So yes, if you're looking for a poultry-free option it may be a good choice for your cat!
