Education

Dr. Pendergrass graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. She then completed a 2-year postdoctoral research fellowship in neuroscience at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

Experience

As a veterinarian, Dr. Pendergrass combines her veterinary expertise with her passion for pet owner education to write clear, concise, and engaging articles on pet care . Since beginning her medical writing business in 2016, she has written hundreds of articles for clients such as Pet Coach, PetMD, Great Pet Care, and several pet insurance companies. She is an active member of the American Medical Writers Association and the BlackDVM Network.

About

Outside of her writing responsibilities, Dr. Pendergrass loves reading, watching funny TV shows with her husband, and exercising. As a lifelong music lover, she plays the viola in one of Atlanta's local volunteer orchestras.
